developmental disabilities and traumatic brain
injuries, and their families, in Saratoga, Warren
& Washington Counties. Our services are outlined
in the "Programs" section of our website.
Or, for more specific information, please call
our agency at (518) 587-3208.
2.
Does AIM provide services for children?
Absolutely.
AIM provides services to eligible children via
Medicaid Service Coordination, Respite Services,
Residential Habilitation, and Family Reimbursement
programs.
3.
How do I know if my family member is eligible
to receive services?
Individuals
must meet the "eligibility requirements"
as outlined by The New York State Office of Mental
Retardation and Developmental Disabilities (OMRDD).
Our Community Services department can answer your
questions about eligibility and assist you with
the application process.
4.
How do I know which service(s) will best meet
our needs?
Through
AIM, you will work in partnership with a qualified
Service Coordinator to develop and maintain an
Individualized Service Plan. We will work with
an individual’s circle of support, to ensure
that the individual’s needs are met. If
at any point the individual’s needs change,
we will work cooperatively to explore alternatives.
5.
Do I have to get all my services from AIM?
No.
As a consumer, you have the right to have different
agencies provide various services as described
in your Individualized Service Plan. Our mission
is to provide quality support, services, and information
to assist you in your decision making.
6.
How much do services cost?
The
cost of services is funded for 99% of eligible
individuals, through Medicaid, the New York State
Office of Mental Retardation and Developmental
Disabilities (OMRDD), Social Security and other
government resources.
7.
Why should I choose AIM, over other service providers?
We
have been helping individuals with developmental
disabilities and traumatic brain injuries, and
their families, for over 25 years. Although needs
may vary dramatically, one thing does not: Our
commitment to excellence.
At
AIM, we are proud of our history of helping others,
and we are equally proud of our commitment to
the future, ensuring that individuals with developmental
disabilities, and their families, will continue
to be offered the highest quality, most innovative
programs and services.
