AIM’s Vin Le Soir Event Boasts Regional Italian Culinary Delights, Wine, and Exciting Raffles

Grab a glass and journey to Florence, Italy on October 26th at Longfellows

As people begin thinking of the upcoming season of giving, AIM will host its 8th Annual Vin Le Soir: A Night in Florence, to raise funds for the families they serve, who face additional needs and challenges as the holidays and frigid winter months approach us.

AIM Services, Inc. is one of the area’s largest service providers for people with developmental and intellectual disabilities and acquired brain injury. Events, like this one, are crucial for them to raise funds and awareness for the critical services they provide.

“Year-round, AIM is supporting the people we serve in so many ways, but particularly during the holidays and winter months, we see an increase in challenges faced by the families we serve who are often already facing obstacles that arise when navigating life with a disability. The funds raised at our events help us offer some relief to them,” said Bo Goliber, Chief Development and Communications Officer.

Goliber said each of their signature events throughout the year supports different initiatives and programming for AIM, but they all have the organization’s mission at the forefront: helping to provide the greatest access to opportunities for independence.

About Vin Le Soir: A Night in Florence:

Come feel the warmth that is inspired by great company, delicious food, distinctive wines and doing good.

The fun begins at 6 p.m. on October 26, and features musical entertainment by Fresh, chef curated foods by Longfellows, wine tastings by Brian the Wine Guy (Specialty Wines & More and Saratoga Eagle), and a brief presentation and heartfelt video by AIM staff. This year, there is an exciting addition to the high-end raffles and silent auction items usually available at the event.

Appolo Heating and Cooling is offering to install a $15,000 HVAC System to one lucky winner from a raffle that will be drawn on October 27th. AIM said they are grateful for the generosity of their partners at Appolo, and for the relevant timing of this raffle, since it will appropriately raise funds for unexpected winter needs. If donors aren’t in the market for a new HVAC system and they win, they can donate it to someone in-need. That raffle is open now and will be highlighted at the event. For a $100 donation, donors receive one entry in the giveaway.

The raffle for the annual Lake Placid Package to Mirror Lake Inn will also be available.

All the funds from the raffles and this intimate evening will support AIM’s year-end giving efforts and its unwavering commitment to providing enhanced opportunities that allow for choice, dignity, respect, and independence, while also creating deeper connections within the community.

Chief Executive Officer of AIM Services, Inc. Christopher Lyons said, “Our events are such an important part of how we bring our community together to raise funds for the people we support. We often say the greatest thing we can do with our lives is make a difference in someone else’s. Here, you really can make that difference, while also enjoying an elegant and memorable evening with us.”
