Family Care is a program within Residential Settings that provides a unique living situation for the people AIM serves. Through Family Care, people with disabilities are given the opportunity to live with a family within the community.

“It’s very family centered. The whole purpose of the program is to have an individual who is looking for residential placement, and who wants to have that family feeling”, said AIM employee Jamie King.

With Family Care, the person becomes part of the family, taking part in daily activities of life; from helping cook and clean, to traveling and exploring what the community has to offer.

“If somebody is looking open their heart and is looking to make a difference in somebody’s life, then, you know, family care is the way to do it” said Jamie King.
